First Culling - [Action / Voice]
[It's been two days since the wraith first arrived in Luceti. His confusion at his new surroundings (and wings) had left him bewildered. But he had avoided the human dwelling, scouting the area, learning about his situation. Under the cover of darkness, he had retrieved his belongings- a long black coat and his stun weapon. A thorough read through the journal appraised him of the situation. This morning, he took his first victim in secret. The body was promptly taken care of and hidden where it wouldn't be found. He would need to be less careless if he was to survive here for long. Once the population determined what he was doing, they'd turn on him in a moment.
There had been unexpected consequences to his feeding and he found himself in an almost euphoric mood. He had never experienced anything like this before. He was enjoying himself, in fact. The logical side of him recognized it as being problematic. Unsettling. Wrong. Yet he couldn't find himself too concerned with it. He would need to familiarize himself with the village. Today was as good as any other. So, strolling through the village is a tall, pale humanoid dressed in a black longcoat. No, Sephiroth and his clones aren't back. He will be in the general store and smithy inspecting the items, as well as the library perusing the various books for information. He seems to be in good spirits as he strolls around the village, but at all times he seems to be incredibly at ease. In control of the situation.
Later, he chooses to introduce himself. Better to present himself as friendly then to skulk in the shadows. He speaks in an unusual, alien voice. Despite its oddness, he sounds amicable and peaceful.]
I believe it is customary for 'New Feathers' to make themselves known to the village. Not an unusual custom, but I suppose most first introductions are associated with some measure of panic and worry. However, I believe I have already made myself adequately comfortable with the conditions here in this village. I will ask a question instead. Who among you are familiar with the Stargate? I understand on the planet Earth it is a highly guarded secret, so I will not be surprised if none of you are aware of it. Perhaps there might even be others such as myself, space faring people. Not that such knowledge is of use on this forsaken planet, but there might be information we could share.
[In the evening, he will return to the forest. He is not entirely comfortable staying in the village at the mercy of so many humans. Not when he can keep to himself. He'll just have to try and find some acceptable living arrangements. Perhaps one of the New Feather stations, for yet another night.]

Annnd earlier.
It breeds a certain complacency, of course.
Just after sunrise she drops discreetly to the ground at the town borders and yawns. If she's fast enough, maybe she'll get home early enough to have breakfast with Jack. Katie turns on her heel to head for the barracks.]
much earlier! 1/2
He soon spotted the child, frowning a bit at her youth. His own kind had certain standards about youth, him in particular. She had yet to grow and breed. But then, he also had learned that she would revive again. This was his best opportunity, he would be a fool to miss it.
Slowly he raised his weapon, but realized quickly he could not keep a steady handy.. He would have to rely on surprise instead.]

The claws of his hand-mouth latched around her chest, while the hand itself begin a strange and indescribable experience that drew out her life force. It was like aging eighty years in half a minute. Only as a child, her aging did not include growing bigger and stronger. It means becoming weaker and weaker.]

Then her survival instincts kick in, and she tries to engage magic to push him away. Another moment before she realises he's not human, and fae magic scrabbles for purchase. And before she can adjust to hook her magic into his pattern, something fastens onto her life force and leeches it away entirely.
It's not unlike being undone. Coming unravelled. She'd scream if she could.]

He was nearly giddy by the time she was finished off. Standing to his feet, he was actually smirking in satisfaction. Well, he'd certainly chosen a good meal, hadn't he?
Which left... the matter of the girl.]

It is a lonesome existence to subsist off wild animal blood and live alone by the Eastern Lake, but now she is stalking rather than approaching. Drusilla trusts no one here. She misses her vampire gang from home.
What she needs to do is sire more of her kind. Yes.
Lightly she steps, but not TOO lightly. She wants this stranger to hear her.]

So he realized he was being followed rather quickly. The question was why and by whom. He did not break his pace, but instead neatly folded his hands behind him to indicate how utterly at ease he was. However, after about a minute of this passing, he spoke up.]
If you intend to show yourself, you should do so now rather than later.

Here. I am here, my lord.

His lips curled into a grin at her greeting. Was she perhaps a wraith worshiper? He had never much cared for the idea of using humans in that way, but it was common among his brothers. Yet he could sense something was off about her. She wasn't alive. She was there. She was moving. But that ever present desire to feed was completely mute around her. It was like she was a moving corpse.]
Are you really? I can certainly see and feel you, but I wouldn't go so far as to say you are truly here.

Maybe I'm not, my lord. Perhaps I am not here. But you -- you are brimming and powerful. I feel it right in the bottom of my belly.

... Then again, as he's sitting in the library, idly trying to find and browse some random books about vampires but only skimming them over with little interest, he manages to spot the guy walking around. It's not difficult to see someone like that, either way, what's up with that face.
Yeah, Natsuno is just pretty obviously staring, one hand caught in the middle of turning a page of the book. He doesn't even really seem to be ashamed of the fact that he's blatantly staring either. ]
[ action ]
He is returning a book on advanced astrophysics that he had just finished leafing through. He can be heard muttering to himself:]
It's incredible such deficient creatures ever managed to make it beyond their own system.
[ action ]
It's usually a surprise people get anything at all done, really.

taking note of his horrible sens of fashion.]Perhaps among your own kind. That does not apply to all creatures.

Even weird space people be hating.]I won't say anything about 'your kind', since obviously I can't know, yeah. [ although he doesn't hold much hope in general, really. ] I just know that humans can be pretty stupid at times.
